Each 3D Molecular Designs Water Kit^© cup now includes 12 water molecules, 1 sodium, 1 chloride, 1 ethane and 1 hydroxyl group. All atoms are magnetized to reflect their positive or negative charges (except non-polar ethane). 6-Cup Water Kit^© includes CD with Middle School and High School Lesson Plans.

The hydrogen and oxygen pieces are packaged unassembled for 2 reasons – educational and financial.

Educational reason: as your students put the 2 oxygen halves together and add the 2 hydrogen atoms, they will create H2O and gain a deeper understanding of what happens when H2O spontaneously assembles. While assembling the molecule, you will also have a chance to explain how the imbedded magnets represent the polar properties of hydrogen and oxygen.
