Activities and Recommendations
1. Build a 12 base-pair DNA model. Twist and untwist the double helix.
2. Model DNA replication. Start with the gray sugar-phosphate backbones and nucleotides in separate piles.
3. Cut each gray backbone in half. Build a 6 base-pair DNA model. Twist into a double helix, then untwist and replicate.
